To Where You Are....

My mother died of a form of cancer called Multiple Myeloma 7 years ago today here at home....right in this room, which is now my office. She was only 7o when she passed. She found out only a few months before that she had cancer.

The title of my subject is actually the title of a song that I first heard near the end of 2001. I was watching the television show 'Ally McBeal' and saw then newcomer Josh Groban singing this song:

I thought of my mom when I heard it and now my father too.

Taking a break...

Well, hubby is being the jetsetter today and I was his shuttle to the airport. I took my camera with me, thinking I would make a quick stop to the Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland but realized the batteries were dead - so no photos with this post. On our way to the airport, we had to stop by the medical clinic for hubby's TB test certificate. He is volunteering to be the goalkeeper coach for the local high school soccer team. He had to take a TB test, take a CPR and first aid class, be fingerprinted, have a background check done, and take an online coaching test. He applied for this position on 10/31 and on 11/4 he received a packet in the mail from the school district that stated what he needed to have done. He tried doing the coaching test last night but the website was not set up for the school district yet....grrrr...lol.
Friends of ours are in Miami this weekend for the Seahawks game vs the Dolphins. I am hoping for a miracle and that my Seahawks can pull out a win!
Ok...back to cleaning this room. Why did we have to get the smaller garbage bin from the garbage company?

I Need to Clean

This is what I am looking at to the right of my desk here:

This pile is what I see each day and I am FINALLY getting tired of seeing it.....lol. I will be hubby-free for most of the weekend so my project is to get this room straightened out!

Hopefully I will have an 'after' photo on Sunday.
